EU Future Dialogue at the Federal Ministry of Health
Our lives and our healthcare systems are becoming increasingly digital. How should future healthcare be structured in a digitized and innovative EU? How can the benefits of our personal health data be harnessed not only for ourselves but also for the entire population of the EU, while simultaneously ensuring the protection of personal data?
In a virtual dialogue, 12 citizens discussed and developed concrete ideas on the future handling of health data in the EU and spoke about them together with Federal Minister of Health Jens Spahn. WDR moderator Sebastian Tittelbach moderated the discussion, and experts Prof. Eva Winkler (University of Heidelberg, oncologist specializing in research ethics and the patient-physician relationship) and Birgit Bauer (digital health & social media expert and patient expert) were on hand to provide expert input. I was there to capture the content of this engaging discussion in a graphic format.
