Analog graphic recording

My expertise: I transform complex concepts into inspiring visual stories.

Capturing words in images – making connections and differences visible – depicting dynamics… Graphic recording offers all of this. Through professional live drawings, discussions, results, agreements, and even disagreements are visually captured, and words that would otherwise quickly be forgotten are preserved in pictures. Graphic recording offers invaluable added value, especially in transformation and change processes.

The benefits for participants:

– Creation of a shared understanding
– Identification and motivation
– Participation in the creative process
– Cross-disciplinary and cross-cultural visual language
– Enjoyment of the visual creation process

Graphic recording (also known as visual recording or scribing) documents what is said and spoken at meetings, seminars, and conferences and translates it into appropriate visual worlds and metaphors. The documentation is created live on-site on posters, flip charts, display boards, and other media. The graphic recorder listens, filters what is said, and captures the key ideas graphically. Unlike transcripts or photo documentation, the drawings allow for the depiction of atmospheres and emotions, while simultaneously making connections and dynamics easily comprehensible and recognizable.

... and how?

The applications are diverse and include workshops, seminars, conferences, meetings, large group conferences, brainstorming sessions, lectures, presentations, and strategy development.

The formal possibilities for tailoring graphic recording to the specific needs of each event are also extremely varied: white paper and foam board are not the only options. Drawing is also possible on black or colored backgrounds, and foam board can be used to create leporellos or other three-dimensional objects. Afterwards, the graphic recording can be photographed, digitized, or scanned, and the entire graphic recording, or details thereof, can be used for flyers and brochures.

Many clients use the results for temporary or permanent exhibitions or installations. Please feel free to contact me. My Master's degree in Art in Context with a focus on museum and exhibition studies from the Berlin University of the Arts makes me a highly competent partner in this field as well.
